Cein Flynn grew up between the Midwest and New England and in fifth grade, they won the award for best artist in their grade. Growing up, Cein wanted to be a marine biologist. Their grandmother wanted them to go into Broadway, but they decided that illustrator fit them much better. Cein graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA in illustration and a concentration in concept art.
